JOB OVERVIEW

Wood is seeking a Senior Project Engineer with substantial expertise in the Oil & Gas sector and related industries. This position is hybrid, requiring in-office presence for three days a week.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Facilitates the achievement of engineering excellence within assigned projects by coordinating and delivering engineering tasks according to established timelines and relevant standards.
  • Oversees a variety of activities conducted by engineers and designers across multiple engineering disciplines to ensure timely delivery of engineering outputs that meet project requirements.
  • Monitors adherence to quality, health, safety, and environmental standards.
  • Engages in preliminary schedule development, planning, and resource allocation for engineering tasks associated with the project.
  • Ensures prompt and precise completion of work, meeting the expectations of both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Notifies the Project Manager of any potential delays or changes; assists in implementing approved modifications.
  • Coordinates and guarantees the technical integrity of interdisciplinary project outputs.

Accountabilities & Duties

  • Manages discipline contributions to deliverables such as Process/Utility Flow Diagrams, Engineering Flow Diagrams, Line Lists, Equipment Lists, Special Piping Item Lists, and Requisition Index.
  • Capable of coordinating a single engineering discipline's input across multiple office locations while ensuring quality, health, safety, and environmental compliance.
  • Develops a solid understanding of engineering standards and procedures, engaging in key events to gain practical experience.
  • Reviews Health, Safety, Environment, and Security (HSES) practices against established standards and procedures.
  • Creates straightforward project-specific procedures under supervision. Manages and develops project schedules.
  • Plans personal work activities effectively and collaborates with disciplines to ensure timely feedback.
  • Maintains a comprehensive understanding of project timelines and conducts regular reviews.
  • Facilitates engineers in meeting deadlines, comprehends reasons for delays, and aids in formulating recovery strategies.
  • Informs senior project engineering staff of any potential delays or changes.
  • Understands the requirements for Design Reviews.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS
  • Educational Background:

    A minimum of a Bachelor's degree (ISCED Level 6) or a Master's degree (Level 7 preferred) in an engineering discipline.
