We are seeking an experienced and motivated Principal Structural Engineer to join our team as a Project Lead. The ideal candidate will be an experienced structural engineer with at least 10 years' experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Leadership: Lead and manage structural engineering projects from conception to completion, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to client requirements.
  • Design and Engineering: Produce calculations, participate in design reviews, and approve engineering documentation, ensuring compliance with industry standards and client codes.
  • Team Management: Manage and mentor junior team members, providing coaching and guidance to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Client Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring their needs are met and expectations exceeded.
  • Project Planning: Create and manage project schedules, estimates, and budgets, ensuring projects are delivered within scope, time, and budget.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure all projects meet GDi's quality standards, adhering to industry codes and client requirements.
Requirements
  • Education: Degree qualified with at least 10 years' experience in structural engineering.
  • Skills: Demonstrable experience in detailed design engineering, engineering checking/approval, and project management.
  • Knowledge: Competent in the use of industry codes, standards, and relevant sections of statutory documentation.
  • Soft Skills: Excellent problem-solving skills, sound time and resource management skills, and ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
