Financial Aid Advisor

Key Responsibilities:
- Support newly enrolled and current students in navigating the financial assistance landscape, including federal and state funding options, as well as scholarship opportunities.
- Offer expert advice on eligibility criteria for financial aid, application processes, budgeting strategies, loan management, and related topics.
- Evaluate student files to make informed decisions regarding satisfactory academic progress and exercise professional judgment.
- Ensure adherence to financial aid regulations and institutional policies.
- Engage in financial aid workshops and presentations to educate students and families.
Essential Qualifications:
- Familiarity with financial aid software and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent decision-making abilities and strong communication skills.
- Background in financial aid administration or academic advising.
- Understanding of federal, state, and institutional financial aid programs.
- Capability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities effectively.
Desirable Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field.
- Experience with Colleague-Ellucian Software.
- Knowledge of federal processing systems.
