Key Responsibilities- Review and evaluate financial aid applications to ensure compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Provide exceptional customer service to students, parents, and other stakeholders, addressing their financial aid-related inquiries and concerns.
- Collaborate with the financial aid team to resolve document imaging issues and ensure seamless processing of financial aid records.
- Develop and maintain knowledge of federal financial aid programs, regulations, and requirements, applying this expertise to make informed decisions and provide accurate information to students and families.
- Work closely with the software vendor to troubleshoot technical issues and ensure the effective use of financial aid systems.
- Communicate complex financial aid information to students and families in a clear and concise manner, providing guidance on financial aid eligibility, award packaging, and satisfactory academic progress.
- 4 years of experience in financial aid counseling or a related field.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to learn and use automated financial aid systems.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make sound judgments and decisions.
- Knowledge of federal financial aid regulations and requirements, with the ability to apply this knowledge to make informed decisions.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment, with a high degree of accuracy, courtesy, and timeliness.
