Position Overview: As a National Account Manager at Delamere Dairy, you will take charge of the commercial oversight of key clients, focusing on sales, project coordination, relationship development, pricing strategies, sales analytics, and account enhancement. This position requires a strategic mindset and a solid history in sales and account management, particularly within the FMCG sector. You will work in close collaboration with various teams to ensure the effective implementation of sales strategies, product introductions, and promotional campaigns.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary contact for all commercial inquiries.
  • Establish and nurture robust relationships with major national accounts.
  • Identify opportunities for growth within existing accounts and strategize to increase market share.
  • Formulate and execute successful sales strategies to meet revenue goals and enhance market presence.
  • Conduct market analysis to understand trends, competitor actions, and customer requirements to foster business expansion.
  • Assume full P&L responsibility for assigned accounts.
  • Collaborate with the New Product Development (NPD) team to create and manage timelines for new products and projects, clearly defining responsibilities for all tasks.
  • Assist the NPD team in preparing presentations, ensuring that pricing and market data are accurately represented.
  • Monitor sales forecasts, actual performance, and promotional activities.
  • Engage with the Technical Team to effectively manage and resolve customer complaints.
  • Conduct quarterly reviews of customer performance, including sales, profitability, new product introductions, and future objectives.

Requirements:

  • In-depth knowledge of the food industry.
  • Demonstrated success in National Account Management.
  • Understanding of the Wholesale market and experience working with end users.
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strategic thinker capable of developing effective sales approaches based on market insights.
  • Willingness to travel as necessary.
