About Mill Media
Joining our team means becoming part of Mill Media, a forward-thinking organization established in 2020. Our success is rooted in a fundamental principle: allowing journalists the necessary time to craft exceptional narratives.
In recent years, this philosophy has positioned Mill Media as a significant player in the media landscape, recognized for our innovative approach to journalism. Our new publication will embody the same core values as our existing platforms while evolving to leverage the wealth of journalistic talent available in a major media hub. We are excited to enhance our storytelling capabilities and explore new formats.

We seek an individual who thrives on generating original story concepts and understands that feature journalism demands a creative approach to angles and headlines. The ability to transform mundane topics into captivating narratives is essential. Familiarity with American magazine journalism and viral online content is advantageous but not mandatory.
The ideal candidate will exhibit the energy and passion necessary to launch a new publication and inspire a team, alongside the expertise in commissioning and editing to consistently deliver high-quality content. A broad range of interests and a habit of extensive reading will enable them to oversee diverse topics effectively.
Key Responsibilities
- Developing a wealth of original story ideas across various themes, including culture, crime, and local affairs, while commissioning multiple stories weekly from both staff and freelance writers, and guiding them through the editorial process.
- Editing several stories weekly, engaging in collaborative revisions with writers to enhance the final product. Contributions to regular briefings will also be expected.
- Leading the editorial team, starting with a small group of writers and expanding as the publication grows.
- Contributing to the overall success of the organization by participating in editorial projects from other regions and engaging in strategic discussions.
