About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as a Head of Diversity and Inclusion Specialist. This is an exciting opportunity to lead the development and implementation of a Trust-wide, whole systems approach to implementing an equality and diversity framework in line with legislation, NHS Guidance and good practice.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the development and implementation of the Trust's EDI strategy as an integral feature of the Trust's People Plan, culture, service delivery and wider workforce agenda.
  • Provide expertise and leadership to the Directorate with the development and implementation of workforce equality and diversity processes and plans.
  • Develop a network of cultural inclusion ambassadors who can support the Trust's recruitment strategy and disciplinary processes.
  • Analyse recruitment data and develop strategies in partnership with the resourcing team that help ensure the Trust has a reflective workforce at all levels of the organisation.
  • Undertake specific time-limited development projects as determined by emerging government policy and strategy.

The Leeds and York Partnership NHS Foundation Trust (LYPFT) is the main provider of Mental Health and Learning Disability services in Leeds. We also provide specialist inpatient services in York and some highly specialised services across the country.
