Position Overview

The role involves working within a dynamic environment where the operating hours are from 8am to 8pm, including a rotating shift schedule that requires weekend availability (1 in 4 weekends). InHealth Group is dedicated to serving millions of patients annually, and our exceptional team at the Patient Referral Centre plays a crucial role in this mission. Our focus is on delivering direct access and comprehensive support to our patients, with our Patient Care Representatives at the forefront of this effort. We manage every aspect of the patient experience, from the initial referral to the final report, ensuring that our qualified teams provide the necessary care and assistance throughout the entire process.

Key Responsibilities

As a Patient Care Representative, your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Handling incoming calls promptly and efficiently, adhering to established service level agreements (SLAs) while addressing inquiries from various channels, including live chat and the company website.
  • Scheduling patient appointments in accordance with best practice standards, ensuring optimal clinic utilization throughout the patient journey.
  • Transforming self-referral opportunities into confirmed bookings while following governance protocols and maintaining accurate documentation.
  • Utilizing effective questioning techniques to assess and identify patient needs, aiming for first-contact resolution.
  • Converting general inquiries into appointments through engaging conversations, responding appropriately to indications of interest.
  • Managing call durations in line with team performance metrics to ensure all interactions are both efficient and of high quality.
  • Inputting referral data into the internal patient administration system accurately.
  • Communicating essential information to both internal and external stakeholders via email in a professional manner.
  • Researching relevant information from various sources to facilitate the progression of patient data.
  • Keeping accurate records and ensuring that all data is current and relevant.
  • Complying with data protection regulations and internal standards.
