Patient Services Coordinator

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Administrator to join our Ophthalmology Patient Services Team based in Rochdale. As a key member of our team, you will provide a high-quality administrative service to patients and colleagues across the patient pathway.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the first point of contact for patient enquiries and respond accordingly via telephone, email, or face-to-face.
- Work collaboratively with clinical and patient services staff to deliver a high standard of service required by our patients.
- Book face-to-face and telephone appointments, including first appointments and follow-ups.
- Liaise with NHS providers regarding the management of onward patient referrals.
- Communicate with the Patient Services Coordinator to ensure clinics are scheduled effectively, patients are allocated efficiently, and theatre and clinic capacity is optimized.
Requirements
- Previous administration experience in a similar setting.
- Sincere desire to be part of a team that takes great pride in helping patients.
- Sound knowledge and understanding of IT and software packages (Word/Excel).
- Excellent communication skills (written and phone).
- Ability to prioritize and work on own initiative.
