Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated, adaptable, and confident full-time Band 2 Receptionist to become a vital part of our dynamic Radiology Departments at the Northern Care Alliance. This role will primarily be based at our main facility, with occasional responsibilities at other locations as needed.

This is a permanent position requiring a commitment of hours per week, with shifts scheduled between 08:00 and 20:00, Monday through Friday, including some weekend duties.

Flexibility to work at different sites on short notice may also be necessary.

Additional compensation is available for unsocial hours, weekends, and Bank Holidays.

As the initial point of contact for patients, you will provide a warm and welcoming atmosphere, ensuring a positive experience from the moment they arrive.

Key Responsibilities

Your role will involve delivering efficient and high-quality reception and clerical support to the Radiology Department. This includes:

  • Welcoming patients and managing their appointments.
  • Processing referrals through the Computerised Radiology Information System (CRIS) and liaising with GPs and Out-Patient services for various imaging requests.
  • Handling telephone inquiries and performing administrative tasks such as scanning, filing, emailing, and photocopying.

Strong communication skills, computer proficiency, and a friendly demeanor are essential for interacting with patients and the public. You should be capable of working independently and meeting tight deadlines.

While prior knowledge of Radiology and CRIS systems is beneficial, it is not mandatory as comprehensive training will be provided.
