Position Overview

Location: Remote

Work Schedule: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week

Service Overview:

  • We administer the Discretionary Assistance Fund (DAF) on behalf of our client.
  • The DAF team provides financial support through cash, grants, and essential goods to individuals facing economic challenges.
  • Our primary responsibility is to assess and process grant applications based on established criteria.
  • We assist clients through various communication channels including phone, online, and email.

Key Responsibilities

As a vital member of the DAF team, you will facilitate the delivery of welfare fund services through multiple application methods. Your role will include:

  • Processing urgent payments and individual assistance grant requests.
  • Managing and handling data in a dynamic office setting.
  • Ensuring precise data entry and documentation.
  • Communicating with applicants to gather necessary information for processing.
  • Conducting eligibility assessments and verifying applicant information.
  • Understanding the relevant legislation and criteria for awarding financial assistance.
  • Adhering to customer service standards during all interactions.
  • Collaborating with team members to meet performance targets.
  • Handling incoming and outgoing correspondence related to welfare provisions.
  • Responding to inquiries from clients and colleagues in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Acting as a key contributor to the DAF contract.
