We are seeking a dedicated Culinary Support Staff member to join our compassionate team at Excelcare Holdings. You will play a vital role in delivering exceptional meal experiences while providing physical, emotional, and social support to our residents.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Chef in preparing and cooking nutritious meals using fresh ingredients tailored to the dietary needs of our residents.
  • Follow scheduled meal plans while ensuring adherence to individual dietary preferences.
  • Maintain exemplary hygiene standards in the kitchen at all times.
  • Support the dining experience during mealtimes in a fast-paced environment.
  • Respect the choices and preferences of the individuals we care for.
  • Regularly check kitchen equipment and promptly report any issues to the Chef.
  • Understand and implement Health & Safety regulations, particularly concerning Basic Food Hygiene and safe handling practices.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Experience in cooking for large groups.
  • A genuine passion for preparing and assisting in the creation of fresh, homemade meals.
  • NVQ Level 2 or equivalent experience in catering and hospitality.
  • A minimum of 2 years' experience in a catering setting.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to engage meaningfully with residents.
