We are seeking an Ecology Team Leader who will play a vital role in the conservation of diverse species as part of a leading contractor.


Ideal Candidate:

This position is perfect for a seasoned ecologist with experience in managing ancient woodlands, ecologically significant locations, or green belt developments, looking to advance into a leadership role on a strategically significant project.

The organization is a joint venture engaged in civil engineering projects across a substantial area, providing the chance to collaborate with a distinguished group of international experts.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee a team of ecologists, ensuring effective subcontractor management.
  • Engage with relevant authorities to guarantee compliance with environmental regulations.
  • Coordinate with Nature England and manage the supply chain, maintaining relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Plan and execute site surveys while managing licensing processes.

Compensation Package:

• £5,300 Car Allowance or Company Car
• 7.5% Pension Contribution
• 26 Days Annual Leave
• Approximately £18k - £22k Subsistence Allowance
• Project Travel Allowance
• Private Medical Insurance


Work Environment:

This position is site-based, requiring a commitment of 4 to 5 days per week, with a significant emphasis on subcontractor management and ensuring adherence to relevant regulations.
