In this full-time position, you will oversee the daily operations of the ecology team while identifying new service opportunities and preparing project proposals. Collaborating with colleagues from various departments, you will ensure that multi-disciplinary projects are executed with the utmost quality and within budget. Your responsibilities will include managing the Ecology department, coordinating report production, overseeing subcontractors, engaging with clients, and mentoring junior team members to enhance their skills and productivity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the daily management of the ecology team
- Identify and develop new ecology service opportunities, prepare proposals, and ensure successful project delivery in collaboration with other departments
- Guarantee high-quality outputs by managing reports, coordinating subcontractors, and maintaining client relationships
- Mentor and develop junior team members to improve team capabilities and overall departmental performance
Candidate Profile:
- Minimum Bachelor's degree in a relevant Ecology discipline
- Significant experience in an ecology role, with knowledge of legislation, survey techniques, licensing, and mitigation, preferably in a consultancy setting
- Proven experience in preparing bids and managing projects and team members
- Possession of a Protected Species License
- Membership in a relevant Professional Institution
