As a key member of the ArcelorMittal South Africa Limited team, you will play a critical role in driving business growth and improvement through the effective implementation of Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES).

Key responsibilities include acting as a technical advisor to the business, applying corporate and departmental standards, and ensuring the MES team delivers high-quality solutions according to specified requirements. You will also be responsible for obtaining knowledge of plant processes and business processes, managing business change requests, and identifying opportunities for process transformation and automation. Additionally, you will lead problem-solving, develop opportunities for businesses, and convincingly present recommendations.

Requirements include a B-Degree in Computer Science, Technology, Information Science, or B-Eng. Degree in Industrial Engineering, with a minimum of 6 years' relevant experience and working knowledge as a Business Analyst in MES development and support environments. Strong understanding of manufacturing business processes, knowledge of ITIL for systems and processes, and exposure to Agile System Development and Project Management processes are also essential.

As a seasoned Business Analyst, you will have the ability to scope projects, compile development specifications, determine system requirements, and understand, write, and interpret SQL queries. You will also have experience in identifying bottlenecks, delays, manual overhead, and root causes of inefficiencies, as well as expertise in data gathering and business analysis.

Key Qualifications:

  • B-Degree (NQF 8/10) in Computer Science, Technology, Information Science or B-Eng. Degree (NQF 8/10) in Industrial Engineering
  • Minimum 6 years' relevant experience and working knowledge as a Business Analyst in MES development and support environments
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing business processes
  • Knowledge of ITIL for systems and processes
  • Exposure to Agile System Development and Project Management processes
  • Ability to scope projects and compile development specifications according to defined requirements
  • Ability to determine system requirements and compile process flows and data diagrams
  • Ability to understand, write and interpret SQL queries
  • Experience in identifying bottlenecks, delays, manual overhead, and root causes of inefficiencies
  • Expert in data gathering and business analysis
  • Experience in managing a team of Business Analysts
  • Strong understanding of AMSA manufacturing business processes
  • Working knowledge of MS Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
