Atkinson HR Consulting serves as the representative body for a diverse student population. We are a not-for-profit organization employing a dedicated team who collaborate with elected student representatives to provide a wide array of services and advocacy for a vibrant and diverse community.

We pride ourselves on fostering an educational environment that is centered around student needs and diversity. Our organization is committed to broadening participation and enhancing the support we provide to students. We value our collaborative relationships and aim to strengthen these connections moving forward.

Our motivated and knowledgeable team utilizes their unique skills to support various opportunities, events, and communities for students, alongside offering expert advice and training for student leaders. With over 100 student-led clubs and societies, there is something for everyone, from sports and social activities to representation and advocacy groups. We also maintain an independent advice center that provides guidance on academic matters as well as proactive support on housing and financial issues.

This is an exciting juncture for our organization. We have plans for growth and diversification, presenting opportunities for innovation, positive transformation, and a greater impact on the student experience.

About the Role

We are in search of a new senior leader to oversee the strategic development and operational management of our member engagement initiatives. This position is not merely about sustaining existing practices but about reimagining and diversifying our member services to align with the evolving needs of our student community.

The ideal candidate will be an inclusive, collaborative, and empowering leader, possessing high emotional intelligence and a genuine enthusiasm for innovation and inclusivity. Experience in cultivating and sustaining influential relationships at all organizational levels is essential. This role will require a creative mindset, enabling us to explore new and inventive methods of engaging with and building trust between our members and the organization.

Our new Head of Member Engagement will need to effectively collaborate with student leaders, providing them with support, guidance, and mentorship, while also being able to offer constructive challenges when necessary.

The successful candidate will be both strategic and hands-on, with the capability to enhance our service standards, performance, and delivery across our comprehensive range of member services.
