Head of IT Operations

Onyx-Conseil is a prominent financial institution with a strong presence in the banking sector.

Role Summary:

We are in search of a highly experienced Head of IT Operations with a robust background in software and application development, particularly within the investment and private banking domains. The successful candidate will demonstrate a solid history of overseeing IT transformation initiatives, delivering comprehensive solutions across various customer touchpoints, and managing both software development and infrastructure technology teams. This position will involve direct reporting to the executive board and necessitate collaboration with diverse stakeholders across the organization, including Human Resources, Finance, Treasury, Risk Management, Compliance, Data Governance, and Business Transformation.

Key Duties:

  1. Supervise and direct the IT division, integrating both software application development and infrastructure technology teams.
  2. Lead and manage software and application development projects from conception to execution, ensuring excellence and timely completion.
  3. Propel IT transformation efforts within the banking sector to improve operational efficiency and enhance customer experience.
  4. Provide IT solutions across various customer interfaces, including digital banking, mobile applications, and in-branch systems.
  5. Formulate and enforce IT policies, procedures, and best practices.
  6. Partner with senior leadership and stakeholders to assess IT requirements and devise strategies to meet them.
  7. Ensure adherence to industry regulations and standards.
  8. Oversee IT budgets, resources, and vendor partnerships.
  9. Report to the executive board on IT strategy, advancements, and performance metrics.
  10. Cultivate a culture of innovation and continuous improvement within the IT division.

Required Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
  2. At least 10 years of experience in IT leadership, with a strong emphasis on software and application development.
  3. Significant experience in spearheading IT transformation projects within investment and private banking settings.
  4. Proven ability to deliver IT solutions across multiple customer channels.
  5. In-depth understanding of banking operations, regulations, and compliance mandates.
  6. Demonstrated capability to manage both software development and infrastructure technology teams effectively.
  7. Exceptional leadership, communication, and project management abilities.
  8. Capacity to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders.
  9. Strategic mindset with the ability to execute systematically.
  10. Familiarity with emerging technologies and trends in digital banking.

Preferred Skills:

  1. Experience with Agile and DevOps methodologies.
  2. Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices within the banking industry.
  3. Understanding of cloud computing and data analytics.
