Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate physiotherapist to join our cardiorespiratory physiotherapy team at Great Ormond Street Hospital. This position offers an exciting opportunity for a skilled band 5 physiotherapist or a band 6 therapist with a keen interest in paediatric respiratory care. • Maintain professional and legal accountability for your work.
  • Manage your own caseload effectively, prioritizing tasks without direct supervision, while having access to senior physiotherapist support as needed.
  • Conduct thorough assessments of paediatric respiratory patients, including those with complex needs, utilizing specialized investigative skills.
  • Provide 24-hour emergency chest physiotherapy coverage, participating in an on-call service after regular hours.
  • Complete a respiratory competency assessment with a senior therapist before joining the on-call rota, with annual evaluations to ensure service quality.
  • Supervise assistants on a daily basis.
  • Organize and plan your caseload to align with service and patient priorities, adjusting plans as necessary.
