Specialist Physiotherapist

About the Role
The Specialist Physiotherapist will be a key member of the Paediatric Respiratory Team at Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust, providing expert care to critically ill children.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess and treat acutely ill paediatric patients with respiratory problems, including those with chronic conditions and long-term ventilation requirements.
- Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to promote optimal care and maintain accurate records.
- Develop and implement policy changes to improve service quality and effectiveness.
- Supervise and coordinate junior staff, students, and assistants.
- Provide teaching and appraisal to junior staff, students, and other healthcare professionals.
Requirements
- Degree in Physiotherapy and HCPC registration.
- Completed core rotations in acute respiratory, orthopaedics, neurology, and outpatients.
- Experience working in a multidisciplinary team and supervising students.
- Continuing professional development and evidence of portfolio maintenance.
