About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Catering Supervisor to join our team at AJ Catering Staff. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth delivery of our catering services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Shift Management: Support Senior Supervisors and the Catering Manager to ensure all shifts are run professionally and efficiently, creating a positive and productive atmosphere for staff and customers.
  • Event Management: Ensure Formal Halls and conference events are managed to the highest professional standards, with attention to detail and a focus on delivering exceptional customer experiences.
  • Team Support: Provide assistance in the Buttery or Bar areas as required, and support the Senior Supervisors in leading and managing the team on shift.
  • Cleaning and Hygiene: Ensure the highest standards of cleanliness and food hygiene are observed at all times, with a focus on maintaining a safe and healthy environment for staff and customers.
  • Health and Safety: Adopt a Health and Safety culture, with adequate risk assessments, systems, and processes in place to ensure the safety of the team and customers.
Person Specification
  • Experience: Demonstrable experience of working in a fast-paced, professional catering environment at supervisory level.
  • Leadership: The ability to consistently lead, manage, and motivate in a positive, respectful, and professional manner.
  • Organisation: Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise own and others' workloads.
  • Communication: Strong communication across many levels, with the ability to develop good working relationships.
  • Flexibility: The ability and willingness to adopt a flexible approach to working hours, including evenings and weekends.
