Hartpury University and Hartpury College is seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join our team and make a positive impact on the lives of our students.

In this role, you will provide comprehensive academic and practical support to students across various disciplines, ensuring they have the tools and guidance needed to succeed. You will collaborate closely with lecturers and tutors, tailoring your assistance to meet the specific needs of each student and fostering their progress throughout their educational journey.

Your responsibilities will encompass:

  • Delivering individualized academic and practical support both within and outside the classroom setting.
  • Collaborating with lecturers and tutors to empower students with SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities) to access their curriculum effectively and achieve their full potential.
  • Contributing to the development and implementation of support strategies for FE (Further Education) students, aligning with their aspirations and career goals.
  • Maintaining meticulous records to track student progress and support needs.

About You:

We are looking for an individual who possesses:

  • A genuine passion for supporting young people with SEND.
  • A Level 2 qualification in literacy skills or a comparable certification.
  • The ability to provide support to learners in both practical and academic settings.
  • Experience working with post-16 students in an educational environment is highly desirable, although not mandatory.
  • Familiarity with our subject areas, including Equine, Sport, Agriculture, and Animal Management, would be advantageous but is not essential.
