About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and empathetic Psychology Support Specialist to join our team at Long-term Teachers Ltd. As a Psychology Support Specialist, you will play a vital role in supporting young pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide one-to-one support to pupils with SEN and SEMH needs, promoting their emotional and educational development.
  • Work closely with class teachers to develop and implement personalized support plans, ensuring pupils receive the best possible care and education.
  • Build strong relationships with pupils, their families, and school staff, fostering a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Utilize your initiative to adapt activities and interventions to meet the unique needs of each pupil, promoting their engagement and progress.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest research and best practices in SEN and SEMH support, ensuring your skills and knowledge remain current and effective.
Requirements
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with pupils, staff, and families.
  • High expectations for pupil progress and a commitment to delivering high-quality support.
  • Adaptability, flexibility, and a willingness to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of support and intervention programs for SEN and SEMH, including ADHD, ASD, ADD, GDD, PSD, and physical needs.
  • Patience, empathy, and a nurturing approach to supporting pupils with complex needs.
