Importance of this Role

In the capacity of the Risk and Compliance Assurance Lead, you will be instrumental in fortifying BT Business by ensuring effective governance over elements related to Risk, Compliance, and Assurance. Your role will span across various departments and regions, assisting the Senior Leadership team in staying informed about significant risks, compliance shortcomings, and assurance results.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the governance framework for Risk, Compliance, and Assurance within the Business Unit and collaborate with the Group Risk team to enhance its effectiveness.
  • Guarantee timely, comprehensive, and precise reporting to Business Leadership, which includes Audit and Risk Committee presentations, Risk Management documentation, and control dashboards.
  • Engage with stakeholders across Risk and Assurance teams to extract valuable insights for management action and awareness.
  • Serve as the primary contact for inquiries related to reporting.
  • Lead communications and awareness initiatives related to Risk, Compliance, and Assurance throughout the Business Unit.
  • Manage data within our Risk management tool.
  • Maintain internal and external communication platforms.
  • Promote and disseminate knowledge on emerging trends in Assurance, Governance, Risk Compliance, and Internal Controls.
Required Skills
  • Proven experience in a risk, compliance, or assurance role within a large multinational organization is essential.
  • Capability to comprehend, draft, and present risk, compliance, and assurance reports to Senior Leadership members.
  • Ability to effectively communicate issues, risks, and control failures to capture management's attention and drive necessary actions.
  • Proficient in working effectively in a virtual environment.
  • Exceptional collaboration and communication skills to engage with a diverse group of stakeholders.
  • Strong data management and reporting skills.
  • A mindset of curiosity, integrity, and a commitment to continuous improvement.
  • Prior experience in the telecommunications sector or risk consulting is advantageous.
