Location: Retford

Position Overview

The Area Sales Manager will report directly to the Regional Manager and will operate from the Retford Depot, engaging with clients at their locations. This role encompasses the responsibility of nurturing existing client relationships while also pursuing new business opportunities within the designated sales territory.

Utilizing our advanced CRM system, you will effectively manage your schedule and prioritize tasks to meet sales targets and align with company objectives. Proficiency in computer applications is essential, along with the capability to organize your workload efficiently and adaptively.

Success in this position requires outstanding communication abilities and the skill to establish professional relationships with both new and existing clients. A strong commercial acumen and the motivation to enhance current business and cultivate new accounts within your sales region are crucial.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the representative of the dealership in selling machinery to customers within a specified sales region.
  • Foster customer relationships to meet sales goals and increase market presence in your area.
  • Stay updated on product knowledge regarding features and advantages of all equipment and services, attending relevant training sessions.
  • Understand financing options to assist clients in acquiring new and used products.
  • Conduct demonstrations of new equipment in the field.
  • Manage the delivery of goods and follow-up procedures effectively.
  • Build and maintain strong, loyal relationships with customers in your defined sales area.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in equipment sales.
  • Solid understanding of agricultural machinery and farming operational practices.
  • Proficient in standard computer applications, CRM systems, internet functions, and sales tools.
  • Familiarity with John Deere and competitive products is preferred.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret internal reports effectively.
  • Exceptional customer relationship management skills.
  • Willingness to work extended hours as needed.
  • Demonstrated integrity and a positive attitude.
