Position OverviewThe Area Sales Manager will operate from the Retford Depot, engaging with clients directly at their locations. This role entails nurturing existing client relationships while actively pursuing new business opportunities within the designated sales territory.
Utilizing our advanced CRM system, you will prioritize tasks and manage your schedule effectively to meet sales objectives and contribute to the overall success of the business. Proficiency in computer applications is essential, along with the ability to adapt your workload efficiently.
Success in this position requires outstanding communication skills and the capability to establish and maintain professional relationships with both new and existing clients. A strong commercial acumen and the motivation to expand current business and develop new accounts are crucial.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the representative for the dealership in selling machinery within a specified sales region.
- Develop and maintain customer relationships to meet sales targets and enhance market presence.
- Stay informed about product features and benefits, attending relevant training sessions.
- Provide customers with financing options to facilitate the purchase of new and used equipment.
- Conduct field demonstrations of new equipment.
- Oversee the delivery of goods and follow-up procedures.
- Build and sustain strong relationships with customers in the assigned sales area.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in equipment sales.
- Solid understanding of agricultural machinery and farming practices.
- Proficient in standard computer applications, CRM systems, and sales tools.
- Familiarity with John Deere and competing products.
- Ability to analyze and interpret internal sales reports.
- Exceptional customer relationship management skills.
- Willingness to work extended hours as needed.
- Demonstrated integrity and a positive attitude.
