About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Clinical Fellow to join our Haemato-Oncology team at Barts Health NHS Trust. As a Clinical Fellow, you will play a key role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of our team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Participate in the daily review of in-patients with the SpR and/or Consultant
  • Contribute to ward duties, including practical procedures and MDT meetings
  • Support FY1s in their clinical duties
  • Review new admissions and provide input on patient care
  • Gain experience in outpatient care and relevant sub-specialty procedures
  • Contribute to the review of patients attending the day unit

Person Specification

We are looking for a candidate with the following qualifications and attributes:

  • Primary medical qualification as recognised by the General Medical Council (GMC) and current Full Registration with the GMC
  • MRCP Part 1 (desirable)
  • Good clinical care and maintaining good medical practice
  • Teaching and training, appraising and assessing
  • Relationships with patients and colleagues
  • Probity and Health
  • Understanding of the importance of the patient as the central focus of care
  • Ability to prioritise tasks and information appropriately
  • Understanding of the importance of working effectively with others
  • Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and patients
  • Initiative and ability to deal effectively with pressure and/or challenge
  • Understanding of the principles of equality and diversity
