Staff Bank Information

Our EPUT NHS staff bank is a managed entity that recruits clinical and non-clinical professionals to cover shifts within our facilities. All permanent staff are automatically enrolled in the staff bank, providing the option to take on additional shifts if desired.

Job Duties

As a Community Care Assistant, you will collaborate with service users and their families under the guidance of senior team members, delivering practical support as outlined in care plans. Your focus will be on empowering service users to achieve and maintain independence while promoting their recovery journey.

The Mid and South Essex Integrated Care System (ICS) is dedicated to uniting health, care, and community organizations to enhance service delivery and address health disparities. A key initiative is our HCA Academy, designed to support the onboarding and training of new Healthcare Assistants.

Successful candidates will participate in a comprehensive induction program, ensuring a smooth transition into their roles and providing opportunities for skill enhancement.

Qualifications and Skills

Essential:

  • Basic understanding of mental health conditions and their impact on daily life
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Good literacy and numeracy abilities
  • Basic IT proficiency

Desirable:

  • Experience working with individuals with mental health issues
  • Familiarity with multi-disciplinary team dynamics
