Our organization is committed to enhancing the professional growth of our staff while playing a pivotal role in mental health and substance misuse services across a diverse population.
Key Responsibilities
We are looking for a passionate Community Care Assistant to become part of our community teams. These teams utilize a collaborative approach to deliver care, foster recovery, and encourage social inclusion for individuals of all ages facing mental health challenges. This role offers a unique chance to enhance your skills while working with this demographic in a community setting.
About Our Organization
EPUT seeks motivated individuals who embody our core values of Care, Learn, and Empower. In return, we provide a comprehensive range of benefits and development opportunities, including:
- Season Ticket Loans
- NHS staff discounts
- Exceptional training facilities and opportunities
- Annual leave purchasing and selling scheme
- Flexible shift options to broaden your experience
- Salary Sacrifice schemes, including vehicle leasing and Cycle to Work
- Flexibility from day one of employment
We actively promote flexible working arrangements for all employees. We encourage candidates to discuss potential options with the hiring manager during the recruitment process.
Staff Bank Information
Our EPUT NHS staff bank is managed by the trust and recruits both clinical and non-clinical healthcare professionals for shifts within our facilities. All permanent staff are automatically enrolled in the staff bank, providing the option to take on additional shifts if desired.
Job Duties
The successful candidate will collaborate with service users and their families under the guidance of a senior team member to deliver practical support as outlined in the care plan. You will assist and empower service users to achieve and maintain independence while promoting recovery.
The Mid and South Essex Integrated Care System (ICS) unites key health, care, community, and voluntary sector organizations to enhance health and wellbeing and address health disparities. An example of this collaborative effort is the establishment of our Health Care Assistant (HCA) Academy, an initiative designed to support the incoming HCA workforce.
To facilitate this collaborative workforce model, the successful candidate will be required to participate in a comprehensive 5-day (Monday to Friday) face-to-face Induction Programme. This will take place at our designated education hub, with start dates discussed during the recruitment process.
Our HCA Academy Induction programme is tailored to equip the successful candidate with the necessary skills and knowledge for their new role at EPUT.
