Thornbury Community Services is seeking a skilled and compassionate Female Healthcare Assistant to join our team in Chelmsford. As a key member of our community care team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to our clients in their own homes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver person-centered care to clients with complex needs, including those with undiagnosed genetic disorders and cerebral palsy.
  • Work collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team to develop and implement personalized care plans.
  • Provide emotional support and companionship to clients, promoting their independence and well-being.
  • Contribute to the maintenance of a safe and healthy environment for clients, including managing medication and administering care as required.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care coordination.

Requirements

  • Minimum 12 months of UK-based care experience, with a focus on community care.
  • Full UK manual driving license and access to a reliable vehicle.
  • Tracheostomy care and suctioning experience, including cuffed tracheostomy and ventilation via tracheostomy.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on client-centered care.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a patient and empathetic approach.
