About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Healthcare Assistant to join our Emergency Department team at East Suffolk and North Essex NHS Foundation Trust.

As a Healthcare Assistant, you will play a key role in providing high-quality care to our patients, working closely with our Registered Nurses to ensure the best possible outcomes.

Main Responsibilities

  • To provide direct and indirect care to patients under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.
  • To maintain high standards of patient care, adhering to Trust policies and guidelines.
  • To work effectively as a member of the nursing and wider healthcare team.
  • To work within the boundaries of the Healthcare Assistant role, referring to the Registered Nurse as necessary.

Person Specification

Experience

  • Experience of working with patients within the clinical setting.

Qualifications

  • Care certificate or equivalent.

Knowledge

  • Awareness of the nature of the carer's role in assisting patients to fulfill basic human needs.
