Colchester, Essex, United Kingdom NHS Full time £22,816 - £24,336
East Suffolk and North Essex NHS Foundation Trust
Are you interested in joining a team renowned for its commitment to providing exceptional care while embracing innovative practices in a dynamic environment?

This position within the dermatology sector presents numerous challenges; you will be assisting medical and nursing professionals in both in-person consultations and minor surgical procedures, while also advocating for patients and their families to ensure a positive experience throughout their journey in the dermatology unit.

If you possess outstanding communication abilities and maintain a professional demeanor, we invite you to become part of our team dedicated to delivering top-notch care.

Experience in a healthcare environment is a prerequisite.

If you thrive in challenging situations, can operate efficiently in a fast-paced setting, enjoy collaborating with a diverse team, and are committed to providing patients with the respectful care they deserve, this role may be ideal for you.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Addressing the direct and indirect care requirements of patients under the guidance and supervision of a Registered Nurse.
  • Upholding high standards of patient care consistently, in accordance with Trust policies and protocols.
  • Functioning as an integral member of the nursing and broader multi-professional healthcare team.
  • Operating within the defined scope of the Senior Healthcare Support Worker role and consulting with the Registered Nurse as necessary.

We are ESNEFT, providing hospital and community health services to nearly one million individuals across east Suffolk and north Essex.

Our dedicated personnel deliver care from acute hospitals, community hospitals, medical practices, community clinics, and in patients' residences.

As one of the largest NHS organizations in England, we employ over 12,000 staff members and take pride in supporting our workforce. We offer a variety of training and development opportunities, alongside flexible working arrangements.

In addition to helping you achieve your career aspirations, we provide a comprehensive pension scheme, additional payments for unsocial hours (where applicable), 27 days of annual leave upon commencement (pro rata), and access to a range of NHS discounts.

Our Staff Health and Wellbeing program offers an array of services.

This digital transformation will introduce what is widely recognized as the world's leading EPR system to ESNEFT, revolutionizing the hospital experience for both staff and patients.

If you are passionate about patient care and eager to enhance your skills and knowledge, we look forward to your interest.

Qualifications required:

  • Care certificate or equivalent.
  • NVQ level 3 or equivalent.
  • Demonstrated experience in a healthcare setting.
  • Understanding of risk management and health and safety considerations, including safe manual handling.

This position is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975, necessitating a submission for Disclosure to the Disclosure and Barring Service to verify any prior criminal convictions.
