Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Deputy Manager to join our team at Bright Horizons UK. As a Deputy Manager, you will play a key role in leading and mentoring a team of early years professionals to deliver exceptional care and education to children in our care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor a team of early years professionals to deliver high-quality care and education to children.
  • Act as Designated Safeguarding Lead, ensuring the safety and well-being of children in our care.
  • Collaborate with the Nursery Manager to develop and implement policies and procedures that support the delivery of high-quality care and education.
  • Develop and maintain strong partnerships with parents, carers, and other professionals to meet the needs of each child.
  • Promote the nursery to current and potential customers to support retention and occupancy growth.
  • Ensure the commercial success of the nursery by managing expenditure and budget KPIs.

Requirements

  • Full and relevant Level 3 or above Early Years qualification.
  • Experience in an Early Years leadership role, ideally as a Deputy Manager, Assistant Manager, or Third in Charge.
  • Experience of participating in regulatory inspections, leading to a "Good" or "Outstanding" outcome.
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of Safeguarding, Child Protection, and legislative requirements for working with children.
  • Ability to build trust and strong working relationships with colleagues and parents.
  • Ability to use a variety of communication techniques with children and adults.
