About the Role

Reporting to the Camp Manager, you will collaborate with a team to work with multiple groups of mixed-ability children, ensuring a maximum of 16 participants in the pool at any time. Sessions typically occur between 9:30 AM and 3:30 PM, Monday to Friday.

Child safety is our utmost priority. You will oversee the welfare of children, supervise during breaks, participate in swimming sessions, ensure safe equipment usage, and document any incidents promptly.

As an Ofsted registered organization, you will have the chance to observe our high standards in child care and well-being, earn first aid qualifications, engage with parents/guardians, and benefit from our leading training programs.

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • Minimum of 12 months experience as a swim instructor
  • Current SEQ Level 2 or STA Level 2 certification is required for swim roles.
  • Current Lifeguard Qualification: National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ) or National Rescue Award for Swimming Teachers and Coaches (NRASTC).
  • At least 6 months experience working with children.
  • A passion for mentoring and developing young individuals.
  • A collaborative mindset, comfortable with diverse responsibilities and building positive relationships.
  • Ability to plan swimming activities for varying age groups.
  • Knowledge of conducting safety assessments and risk evaluations.
  • Skill in designing and delivering engaging sessions that prioritize child welfare.
