Are you passionate about fostering children's confidence in the water? Kings Camps is in search of enthusiastic individuals to serve as Aquatic Instructors and Lifeguards. This role is ideal for those who are dedicated to creating a safe and enjoyable aquatic environment for children.
Kings Camps organizes sports and activity day camps for children during school holidays, focusing on our mission of promoting physical activity, enjoyment, and collaborative learning.
Our exceptional programs are delivered by our dedicated staff, who are committed to providing outstanding holiday experiences for children. We are currently seeking motivated Aquatic Instructors and Lifeguards to contribute to our mission.

As a certified SEQ Level 2/STA Level 2 instructor, you will lead engaging 30-45 minute sessions for mixed ability groups of children aged 5-17, concentrating on enhancing water confidence and swimming skills. This position is open to instructors with or without lifeguarding credentials.

Role Responsibilities
In this position, you will report to the Camp Manager and collaborate with a team of like-minded individuals. You will work with multiple groups of children, ensuring their safety and enjoyment during swimming sessions. Your responsibilities will include supervising children during breaks, facilitating swimming activities, and ensuring the safe use of equipment.
As an Ofsted registered organization, we uphold high standards in child care and wellbeing. You will have the chance to gain first aid qualifications and build relationships with parents and guardians while accessing our industry-leading training.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Minimum of 12 months experience as a swim instructor
- Current SEQ Level 2 or STA Level 2 certification required
- Current Lifeguard Qualification: National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ) or National Rescue Award for Swimming Teachers and Coaches (NRASTC)
- Experience working with children aged 5-17
- Proven ability to mentor and develop young individuals
- Collaborative mindset with the ability to form positive relationships
- Experience in planning swimming activities for various age groups
- Knowledge of safety protocols and risk assessments
- Ability to design and deliver engaging swimming sessions that prioritize child welfare.
