Kings Camps organizes sports and activity day camps for children during school holidays, aiming to promote physical activity, enjoyment, and collaborative learning.
Our exceptional programs are driven by our team members who are committed to providing unforgettable holiday experiences for children. We are currently seeking enthusiastic Aquatic Instructors and Lifeguards to contribute to our mission in the upcoming seasons.

As a certified SEQ Level 2/STA Level 2 instructor, you will lead tailored and engaging 30-45 minute sessions for mixed ability groups of children aged 5-17, focusing on enhancing water confidence and swimming skills. Role Responsibilities
Reporting to the Camp Manager, you will work with multiple groups of mixed ability children, ensuring their safety and enjoyment during swimming sessions. You will supervise children during breaks, facilitate swimming activities, and ensure the safe use of equipment while promptly addressing any incidents.
As an Ofsted registered organization, you will have the chance to observe our commitment to high standards in child care and well-being, as well as the opportunity to obtain first aid qualifications and engage with parents/guardians.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- A minimum of 12 months experience as a swim instructor.
- Current certification in either SEQ Level 2 or STA Level 2.
- Valid Lifeguard Qualification: National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ) or National Rescue Award for Swimming Teachers and Coaches (NRASTC).
- Experience working with children aged 5-17.
- A passion for mentoring and developing young individuals.
- A collaborative spirit, comfortable with diverse responsibilities and building positive relationships.
- Ability to plan swimming activities for various age groups.
- Knowledge of conducting safety assessments and risk evaluations.
- Skill in designing and delivering engaging sessions that prioritize child welfare.
