Position Overview

An exceptional opportunity has arisen to become a part of the leadership team at Leicester Nutrition and Dietetic Service (Community) as the Manager of Clinical Dietetics, focusing on Primary Care and Mental Health. We seek a dynamic leader with demonstrated expertise in strategic and operational management, service enhancement, and clinical leadership to advance our service delivery.

The Leicester Nutrition and Dietetic Service (Community) comprises a dedicated team of around 80 professionals engaged in primary care, mental health, public health, and home enteral nutrition. This includes dietitians, community nutritionists, dietetic support personnel, and administrative staff serving the LLR population. This role will entail specific leadership and management duties for our Primary Care and Mental Health team, overseeing outpatient services and community hospital inpatients, as well as our newly established dietetics prescribing team.

The ideal candidate will be a self-driven team player, enthusiastic about quality improvement and service innovation, possessing outstanding communication abilities. You will represent the service in Trust groups and committees, as well as in county-wide meetings, engaging with both current and potential commissioners across Local Authorities and the Health and Social Care sectors.

Possession of a valid driver's license and access to personal transportation is mandatory.

The service is dedicated to continuous professional development (CPD) and personal growth, offering robust clinical supervision models and in-house CPD opportunities to support your career. The service also plays a vital role in the pre-registration placements for student dietitians, where this position will take a leading role.
