We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Nutrition Consultant to join our team at University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust. As a key member of our Gastroenterology department, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of our clinical services.
Key Responsibilities- Patient Care: Provide expert clinical nutrition advice and support to patients with a range of gastrointestinal conditions, including inpatient and outpatient care.
- Service Development: Contribute to the development and implementation of new clinical services and initiatives, working closely with colleagues and stakeholders to ensure effective partnerships and integrated care.
- Teaching and Training: Supervise and train junior medical staff, including medical students and junior doctors, to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to provide high-quality patient care.
- Research and Audit: Participate in clinical research and audit activities, contributing to the development of new treatments and improving patient outcomes.
- Governance and Compliance: Ensure compliance with Trust policies and procedures, including clinical governance and audit requirements.
- Qualifications: MB BS or equivalent, with full GMC registration.
- Experience: JAG accredited for upper and lower GI diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy, with excellent clinical skills and experience in gastroenterology and clinical nutrition.
- Skills: Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and stakeholders.
