Position Overview

As an Assistant Accommodation Supervisor, you will be an integral part of the UCL Eastman Dental Institute's Accommodation management team, playing a key role in fostering a high-performing and positive Front of House Accommodation team. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the ongoing safety and well-being of students, staff, visitors, and contractors within our facilities.

Your duties will include overseeing the delivery of exceptional and responsive services to our residents while actively managing and upholding the high standards of our facilities management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the organization of open days, intake days, and departures, while assisting daily visitors, students, and external contacts.
  • Maintain the highest level of customer service and serve as a role model for outstanding service delivery.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across various departments, including Marketing, Communication, Student Experience, and Estates Maintenance.
  • Supervise a team of Accommodation Advisors, identifying their professional development needs and conducting one-on-one meetings.
  • Manage training requirements and effectively supervise team performance.
  • Plan staffing resources, including managing staff schedules, holidays, and recruitment to ensure optimal staffing levels.

Candidate Profile

To thrive in this position, you should possess experience in team supervision or a customer-facing role, including performance management and people development. A solid understanding of Health and Safety regulations, along with financial and commercial acumen, is essential, as is prior experience in budget management.

Proficiency in computer applications, particularly MS Office, is required. You should be a motivator, capable of inspiring others to deliver exceptional customer service, and possess excellent written and verbal communication skills. A calm demeanor in challenging situations, gained through experience in complaint resolution, is also necessary.

We seek a positive and collaborative individual who can adapt quickly, pay close attention to detail, and embrace challenging tasks.
