Job Summary

Voxconsultants is seeking a highly experienced Accommodation Team Supervisor to lead and manage a team of housing support workers in our Street Homelessness Accommodation Programme. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of managing supported housing projects and supervising casework practice.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Team Leadership: Lead and manage a team of housing support workers to deliver high-quality support to rough sleepers in our new housing projects.
  2. Project Development: Set up and develop the new Street Homelessness Accommodation Team, providing effective leadership to a team of Street Homeless Accommodation Support Practitioners.
  3. Support Delivery: Ensure Street Homeless Accommodation Support Practitioners deliver proactive support to applicants with multiple and complex support needs to help them access and maintain accommodation.
  4. Contract Management: Contribute to the effective management of Enfield's Rough Sleeper Accommodation Programme Revenue contract, including the development and implementation of operational policies and procedures.
  5. Quality Assurance: Ensure all aspects of support work are carried out in accordance with legislation, strategies, policies, and procedures through effective and regular supervision, advice, guidance, and support.
  6. Collaboration: Collaborate with internal and external partners to improve outcomes, including formal relationships, such as SLAs, contract management, and protocols.
  7. Strategy Development: Contribute to the development and management of the wider Housing Advisory Service and Sustainable Housing Service and the effective delivery of the Council's Housing and Homelessness Strategies and Policies.
Requirements
  1. Leadership Experience: Significant experience of leading and managing a team of housing support workers supporting and supervising casework practice of support workers, trainees, students, or volunteers.
  2. Project Management: Significant experience of managing supported housing projects, including single-site and dispersed projects.
  3. Homelessness Expertise: Significant experience of management within a statutory or non-statutory homelessness service.
  4. Policy Knowledge: Significant knowledge of Health & Safety, Safeguarding, Social Care, and Equality policy and strategies.
  5. Leadership Skills: Ability to establish, manage, and develop the new Street Homelessness Accommodation Team, providing effective leadership to a team of Street Homeless Accommodation Support Practitioners.
Contract Details
  1. Contract Duration: Initial 3 to 6 month ongoing contract with the opportunity to extend.
  2. Remuneration: PAYE via Umbrella.
  3. Working Hours: Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm (Hybrid position).
