Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Sales and Marketing Assistant to join our team for a 3-month internship. This role is an excellent opportunity for university students seeking placement experience or recent graduates looking to gain practical experience in the student accommodation industry.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Lead Generation and Sales Activities

Assist in generating leads and attracting prospective students through various sales and marketing activities, including market research and data analysis.

Customer Relationship Management

Support the sales team in managing and updating the customer relationship management (CRM) system, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records.

Customer Service and Support

Respond to inquiries from students and parents, providing excellent customer service and addressing their needs and concerns to help them book accommodation.

Market Research and Analysis

Participate in market research to identify new opportunities and trends within the student housing market, providing valuable insights to inform business decisions.

Administrative Support

Provide administrative support, including preparing reports and maintaining accurate records, to ensure seamless day-to-day operations.

Sales and Marketing Disciplines

Effectively balance core direct sales disciplines, including prospecting, solicitation, rate quoting, contracting, sales calls, and online conversations, to drive sales growth and revenue.

Guest Satisfaction and Feedback

Respond promptly to guest requests in a friendly manner, following up to ensure guest satisfaction and providing feedback to improve services.

Professional Image and Teamwork

Maintain a professional image at all times through appearance and dress, and assist Sales Representatives and Executives and other salespersons to communicate effectively with operational departments.

Additional Responsibilities

Assist salespersons to review group resumes and rooming lists to ensure accuracy and fulfill any special requests, and comply with the demands coming from the Sales Executive and other salespersons.

Availability and Flexibility

Be available to work on weekends and during evening shifts as required to meet the Sales Department's needs.

Qualifications and Requirements

  1. Education and Experience

Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a university program (preferably in business, marketing, or a related field).

Communication and Interpersonal Skills

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.

Organizational and Time Management Skills

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.

Technical Skills

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), with the ability to learn and adapt to new software and systems.

Additional Requirements

Prior sales or customer service experience is a plus, but not required. Enthusiastic, proactive, and eager to learn about the student accommodation industry, with a flexible attitude and ability to work weekends and evening shifts.

Work Permit and Eligibility

Must have a valid work permit in the UK (part-time or full-time).
