Position Overview

We are seeking an Administrative Booking Coordinator to support our dynamic 2ww Booking Department specializing in Breast and Urology services during a temporary maternity leave period.

This role will be situated within our 2ww Booking office.

Please be aware that this position does not involve direct patient interaction.

The department operates five days a week, and the working hours will be Monday to Friday from 9 am to 5 pm, excluding Bank Holidays and weekends.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing appointment bookings and responding to patient inquiries to arrange new dates and times.

Proficiency in utilizing various reports to ensure accurate scheduling of clinical sessions is essential.

Responsibilities also include printing and scanning referrals for clinical triage via the E-Referral system.

Additionally, the role involves processing responses from text messages through the Doctor Dr online system and managing email requests for changes.

Key Responsibilities

Collaborate with a dedicated team to deliver a high-quality and efficient Booking service within Patient Services Administration.

Provide administrative support to facilitate the patient journey.

Adapt to provide a flexible booking service, manage referrals, and perform a variety of general administrative tasks.

Foster and maintain strong working relationships across clinical administrative teams, adhering to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure that all functions of the role are executed accurately and within specified timelines.

Ensure precise data entry using the Patient Administration System (PAS) and E-referral, along with other systems; utilize multiple reports to schedule outpatient appointments in line with clinical directives and national/local waiting time targets.

  • Prior office or clerical experience
  • Ability to work within specified timelines

  • GCSE/O level in Maths and English or equivalent qualification or relevant experience
