Purchase Ledger Clerk

Job Summary:
Venn Group is seeking a skilled Purchase Ledger Clerk to join their team. As a key member of the finance department, you will be responsible for processing a high volume of invoices, providing day-to-day support to the ledger function, and assisting in the preparation of purchase summaries.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process a high quantity of invoices in a timely and accurate manner
- Provide administrative support to the ledger function, including cash and bank reporting
- Assist in the preparation of purchase summaries and other financial reports
- Perform general administrative duties, including data entry and record-keeping
- Support the management account function, including budgeting and forecasting
- Process business expense returns and manage company expenses
Requirements:
- Basic numeracy skills and experience with financial software
- Good understanding of purchase ledger functions and transactional data entry
- Experience with cash and banking reporting, including reconciliations
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail
- Proficiency in MS Excel and other financial software
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a professional telephone manner
- Strong administrative skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
