Role Summary

We are looking for a seasoned Senior Financial Manager to supervise the financial performance and management of the organization and its subsidiaries. The primary objectives of this role include delivering precise and timely consolidated monthly financial reports, managing annual external financial disclosures, and ensuring a strong control framework is established and upheld.

The Senior Financial Manager will collaborate with key stakeholders to support and advance the company's interests, welfare, profitability, growth, and reputation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team to ensure the timely delivery of monthly financial reports. (4 direct reports)
  • Oversee month-end financial results, forecasting, and budgeting processes.
  • Manage all aspects of statutory financial reporting and ensure compliance with accounting standards and tax obligations (covering 9 entities plus group consolidation).
  • Establish and maintain a robust control environment through detailed financial reviews.
  • Prepare annual financial statements and lead the external audit process, including the development of technical accounting position papers.
  • Conduct commercial financial analysis and special projects to support business initiatives across the division.
  • Implement strategies and processes to enhance business profitability and performance, assisting business leaders in making strategic financial decisions.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory laws and financial regulations.
  • Identify and drive improvements in existing systems, processes, internal controls, and reporting across the organization, ensuring all finance-related activities comply with applicable laws and regulations.
  • Provide technical support for the implementation of accounting standards and address related queries.
  • Work proactively with auditors to identify and resolve accounting complexities and issues.
  • Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, credit card transactions, banking, cash flow management, project finance, and other duties as required.

Required Qualifications:

  • Professional qualifications such as ACA, ACCA, or CIMA.
  • Experience with a Big 4 audit firm followed by relevant role-specific experience is highly desirable.
  • Demonstrated experience in financial accounting, including general ledger reconciliations and contributions to statutory reporting.
  • Proven track record in management reporting and financial analysis.
  • Specific knowledge and experience with Microsoft Dynamics is highly advantageous.
  • Experience in managing and mentoring a team.
