We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Engineering Manager to lead a team of 14 engineers, apprentices, and support technicians in ensuring all PPM and reactive maintenance is performed to the highest standard.

Working in a busy, highly automated distribution centre, you will be at the forefront of technology, with millions of pounds of investment having been made in the facility.

As a strong communicator and organiser, you will work closely with the Engineering Manager to provide technical and hands-on support to the team, while also supporting the senior team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Attend handover meetings with the senior engineering team
  • Plan and organise the Engineering Team's schedule of planned maintenance
  • Respond to breakdowns and incidents
  • Mentor and lead the team
  • Ensure the team works within H&S guidelines at all times
  • Manage spare parts and monitor inventory and usage
  • Have a strong understanding of control systems, including WMS and SCADA

Requirements:
  • Apprenticeship in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering (NVQ Level 3)
  • Experience with leadership in an automated environment
  • Hydraulic and Pneumatic knowledge
  • Experience with engineering stores and CMMS systems
  • Good understanding of Microsoft Office
  • HNC/HND desirable
