Role Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Residential Support Professional to provide essential care and support to children and young people, ensuring their emotional, physical, and developmental needs are met in a safe and nurturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Child-Centered Care: Provide consistent care and support to children, ensuring their needs are met in a compassionate and child-focused manner.
- Daily Living Support: Assist with everyday tasks such as personal care, cooking, cleaning, and managing pocket money, while encouraging the development of life skills.
- Key Working: Act as a key worker or co-key worker, supporting individual care plans and helping children achieve their full potential.
- Education Support: Encourage and support children's education and learning activities, both in and out of the home.
- Compliance: Adhere to care plans, risk assessments, and company policies to ensure a safe and compliant environment.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records, including daily logs and financial records, to ensure thorough documentation of care.
- Health & Safety: Ensure all health and safety standards are met, contributing to a safe living and working environment.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with colleagues to deliver consistent, high-quality care, participating actively in team meetings and handovers.
Essential Qualifications and Experience:
- Experience: Previous experience in a residential care setting is preferred, especially working with children or young people.
- Qualifications: NVQ Level 3 Diploma in Children's Residential Care is preferred but not essential; training opportunities are available for the right candidate.
- Skills: Strong communication skills, the ability to work effectively as part of a team, and a commitment to providing high-quality care.
- Right to Work: Must have the right to work in the UK without requiring sponsorship.
Team Collaboration and Support:
- Collaboration: Contribute to a positive team environment, working together to achieve the home's objectives.
- Support: Provide informal support to colleagues, helping to maintain a consistent approach to care.
- Continuous Improvement: Participate in regular supervision sessions and training to enhance your skills and contribute to the development of the team.
