Job Title: Residential Support Worker - Care Specialist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Residential Support Worker to join our team at Lotus Recruitment Ltd. As a key member of our care team, you will provide essential care and support to children and young people in a safe and nurturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Child-Centered Care: Provide consistent care and support to children, ensuring their needs are met in a compassionate and child-focused manner.
  • Daily Living Support: Assist with everyday tasks such as personal care, cooking, cleaning, and managing pocket money, while encouraging the development of life skills.
  • Key Working: Act as a key worker or co-key worker, supporting individual care plans and helping children achieve their full potential.
  • Education and Learning Support: Encourage and support children's education and learning activities, both in and out of the home.
  • Compliance and Safety: Adhere to care plans, risk assessments, and company policies to ensure a safe and compliant environment.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records, including daily logs and financial records, to ensure thorough documentation of care.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with colleagues to deliver consistent, high-quality care, participating actively in team meetings and handovers.

Essential Qualifications and Experience:

  • Experience: Previous experience in a residential care setting is preferred, especially working with children or young people.
  • Qualifications: NVQ Level 3 Diploma in Children's Residential Care is preferred but not essential; training opportunities are available for the right candidate.
  • Skills: Strong communication skills, the ability to work effectively as part of a team, and a commitment to providing high-quality care.
  • Right to Work: Must have the right to work in the UK without requiring sponsorship.
