Job Title: Residential Support Worker for Children

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Residential Support Worker to join our team at a children's home in Oldham. The successful candidate will provide 24-hour care and support for children with Learning Disabilities (LD) and/or autism, who present in behaviours that challenge.

About the Role:

  • Provide high-quality care and support to children with complex needs.
  • Work collaboratively with the management team to ensure the best possible outcomes for the children.
  • Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge.
  • Contribute to a positive and supportive team environment.

Requirements:

  • Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare or equivalent desirable.
  • Willingness to work towards a Level 3 Diploma in residential Childcare is essential, support will be provided.
  • Complete all mandatory training, which includes team teach level 2 if you are successful.
  • Prior experience and understanding of behaviours that challenge is essential.
  • You must have a fully enhanced DBS on the update service. If you do not currently have a DBS, then we can help with your application for a new DBS.
  • Prior experience working with children with SEN such as Autism and Learning Disabilities as well as challenging behaviours would be desirable.
  • You will be subject to all relevant checks to comply with the law and safer recruitment guidelines and provide all relevant documentation.
  • Drivers are required.
