About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Residential Support Worker to join our team at Brandt Education. As a Residential Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing 24-hour care and support to children and young people living in our children's home.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality care and support to children and young people, promoting their physical, emotional, and psychological well-being.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with children, young people, and their families, ensuring their needs are met and their rights are respected.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to create a safe and nurturing environment, promoting a sense of belonging and community.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of individual care plans, ensuring the needs of each child are met and their progress is monitored.
  • Contribute to the maintenance of a clean, safe, and healthy environment, adhering to health and safety protocols and guidelines.
  • Engage in ongoing training and professional development to enhance your skills and knowledge, staying up-to-date with best practices in residential childcare.
Requirements
  • Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare or equivalent desirable.
  • Willingness to work towards a Level 3 Diploma in residential Childcare is essential, support will be provided.
  • Complete all mandatory training, which includes team teach level 2 if you are successful.
  • Prior experience and understanding of behaviours that challenge is essential.
  • You must have a fully enhanced DBS on the update service. If you do not currently have a DBS, then we can help with your application for a new DBS.
  • Prior experience working with children with SEN such as Autism and Learning Disabilities as well as challenging behaviours would be desirable.
  • You will be subject to all relevant checks to comply with the law and safer recruitment guidelines and provide all relevant documentation.
  • Provide a full CV which includes any time out of employment.
