Position Overview
We are currently seeking dedicated individuals for full and part-time positions as Administrative Support Specialists within our organization. These roles are designed to provide essential clerical and reception services across various departments.
The successful candidates will be tasked with the creation of essential medical documentation for clinical purposes, including the generation of electronic document management system forms. Additionally, they will perform reception duties, assisting patients as they check in for their appointments at multiple reception desks throughout our facilities.
Key Responsibilities
The role includes, but is not limited to, the following responsibilities:
- Managing the scheduling and booking of patient appointments alongside related administrative tasks.
- Ensuring compliance with organizational policies regarding elective and cancer access, while providing patients with suitable appointment options.
Work Schedule
Work hours will vary, with shifts available from Monday to Friday.
One position will require weekend availability on a rotating schedule, including independent work during weekends.

Required Skills and Qualifications
Essential Skills
- Strong understanding of confidentiality, data protection, and relevant principles.
- Proficient in numeracy and literacy.
- Competent in keyboard and computer skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines effectively.
Required Experience
- Previous experience in a reception or administrative capacity, preferably within a healthcare setting.
- Familiarity with hospital-based patient administrative systems.
- Experience in data entry and management.
Educational Qualifications
- Minimum education level of GCSE or equivalent, including Mathematics and English.
- Relevant computer skills certification, such as ECDL or CLAIT.
- Customer service or administration qualifications, such as an NVQ.
