Job Title: Business Support Specialist

Oldham Council is seeking a highly skilled Business Support Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our Digital Skills Curriculum team, you will provide comprehensive business support to ensure the smooth operation of our services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-level administrative support to the Digital Skills Curriculum team, including data management and analysis.
  • Develop and maintain accurate and up-to-date learner tracking systems to ensure compliance with grant-funded allocations.
  • Respond to complex learner queries and provide compliant Information, Advice, and Guidance (IAG) on funding eligibility, language support, and childcare support.
  • Support staff with new systems and provide training to enable them to become independent end users.
  • Liaise closely with Curriculum Manager and Programme Leaders to update and advise on anomalies, compliance, and actions taken.

Requirements:

  • Experience in providing high-level business support, excellent administration, ICT skills, and organisation skills.
  • Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to respond efficiently and courteously to complex queries.
  • Ability to work under pressure to meet compliance demands and service needs.
  • Excellent communication skills, flexibility, and a supportive team player.
  • Previous experience in a Lifelong Learning Service would be beneficial.
